Triple Display for Better Multitasking
At a recent event, Yu responded to a customer’s question by confirming the launch timeline. One major benefit of the Huawei tri-fold phone is its enormous screen, which allows users to run programs at full size without worrying about running out of space. Three distinct screens are included in this creative design.
For immersive experiences, the main screen, measuring 7.85 inches, is perfect. A 6.45-inch cover screen for rapid interactions and discussions and a second 7.85-inch screen for additional features and functionality are in addition to the primary screen.
Earlier last month, Yu was spotted holding the slender triple-folding phone. The executive’s photo showed what appears to be a foldable phone, with three panels layered to resemble a slab. The phone’s back displayed a large, circular camera bump that was similar to the Huawei Mate 50 PRO.
An earlier photo of Yu showing the phone unfurled provided additional context for understanding the design of the device. This image revealed two discrete screen creases as well as a cutout for the front-facing camera at the top, giving an overview of the phone’s elegant design.
Huawei’s tri-fold smartphone has two hinges that enable it to fold into three halves, in contrast to existing foldable phones, which only fold in half.
These sections have been carefully divided into several modes to accommodate different scenarios.
Versatile Modes of the Mate X3
The phone maintains its modest and manageable size while in its most handy mode, which is folded. The gadget folds up to display three sizable screens that are perfect for immersive experiences when it is in unfolded mode. The Mate X3 also has a convenient Tent mode that is ideal for online meetings and hands-free video conferencing.
In addition, the phone unfolds to reveal a 10-inch tablet mode that is somewhat reminiscent of the iPad and other 8-inch foldables.
This bigger screen size might put rivals like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in jeopardy. While Samsung was at the forefront of the foldable phone industry, Huawei could have gotten the upper hand with the impending release of the first tri-fold handset, which could change the foldable market’s dynamics.
Customers might be discouraged, though, by the phone’s purported price range of $2,800 to $4,900. Furthermore, it’s unlikely that the phone will be offered in the US because of the 2019 US restrictions that restrict Huawei’s access to American technology and services.
